PNI is licensed as a nationwide Internet Service Provider (ISP), delivering high-speed internet access connected to both global and local upstream networks over fibre optic media.
The backbone
- Backbone capacity> 500 Mbps
- International latency< 250 ms
- Tier-1 upstreamSingtel STIX & PCCW
- Connection mediaFibre optic, VSAT, microwave
Local and international paths run as a multilink backbone with a full back-up system, and the PNI network can route multiple networks simultaneously (multi-homing). International service is supported by AKAMAI International facilities.
What you get
- A dedicated internet connection with every port open — no filtering, no proxy.
- Free unlimited IIX, and free public IP addresses.
- Low latency to the international internet, enough for video conferencing, VoIP, distance learning and business applications such as ERP.
- Bandwidth capacity can be raised at any time when you need it.
- Protection against intruders from outside the customer network, plus help securing your network and data.
- Separate MRTG monitoring for the international and local paths (IIX and Open-IXP), so you can see both capacities in real time.
Why separate the MRTG graphs? A combined graph hides the cause when traffic slows down. With local and international paths charted apart, you can see which side is saturated before you call support.
